Boy Meets World TV series-up close

 

Boy Meets World (BMW) TV series was first aired by ABC (American Broadcasting Corporation). The first episode was aired on 24th September 1993 and continued up to May 5 2000. The lead roles were played by Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel and William Daniels. Though the series ended in 2000 it is still considered as the most watched sitcom till date. Apart from ABC the Disney channel also aired Boy Meets Girl and presently this highly popular series is being aired by some other international channels.

The Boy Meets World American sitcom was conceptualized on the theme of hardships faced by youngsters through their growing years. With such a theme it instantly connected with viewers both young and old alike. The show was great fun to watch and people liked the way the characters developed. The off and on romance between the lead characters of Cory and Topanga were a treat to watch. Their interactions were always filled with the usual romantic interludes, numerous break ups and then patch up. Still it was intoxicating to watch the characters perform. Apart from the major characters there were also some minor characters that made their appearances in some of the episodes to make the plot look interesting. The TV series started off by showing Cory and his close friend Shawn when they were in their 6th grade. From there it moves on to their college days at Pennbrook and finally to New York where Topanga gets her internship.

In the years thereafter Boy Meets World churned out many episodes and each was special in the sense that it showcased the pains of growing up. Though every episode dealt with the usual problems faced by youngsters it had enough humour to make the same interesting to viewers. All the characters in the TV series had different personalities and though they were friends, they also had their arguments with each other but ultimately they triumphed over their problems. The TV series won many notable awards throughout its run spread over seven seasons. During the later years the series dealt with mature problems like sex, jealousy, rebellion and the like.
