Boy Meets World Review

This is a very good TV show for kids and teenagers. Not only is it entertaining, but it is also very helpful with life. It's great because it teaches young developing kids that it is not alright to be funny all the time; sometimes things are very serious. Also it teaches kids how hard life is in the real world, it shows them that not all kids have loving parents that take good care of them and love them. That helps kids appreciate their families more.

For those who haven't seen it yet, here's a small synopsis on Boy Meets World. It's mainly centered on Cory Matthews, Shawn Hunter, and Topanga Lawrence. They are 3 friends who have been through everything together, from the danger of cults, the true meaning of a friend, and the power of prayer. Although the first couple of seasons aren't as inspirational and moving as the rest they are still very entertaining. It's a good, nourishing show that's not only is fit for the entire family to watch, but is an awesome teaching accompany for Schools and Church youth groups.

This show is approved for all ages, however in my opinion it should be rated about 10 and up. The reason for that being that it is not always so innocent. What was once the story of a young boy in middle school and junior high has in later seasons become about a young man in college. As a result, later seasons deal with more adult issues that might not necessarily be for kids of all ages. These issues include sex, partying, a childhood crush that blooms into adult love, and a best friend who comes from a very unstable home life. Family relationships remain in the forefront, with parents questioning and supporting at all the right moments. In my opinion, both tweens and teens can gain insight from the realistic issues.

But it is a comedy and a very funny one. The funniest thing about it may be that Mr. Feeny is Cory's teacher from the beginning to the end. He seems to advance in grades at the same time as Cory.
