Too often when TV Series run for as many seasons as Boy Meets World ran it is hard for the actors in the cast to find quality jobs after that. The reason being that we have seen a certain actor play a certain character for so long, that any other character that they play after that is not believable to us because we associate that face with a specific character that we know very well. Our actors from Boy Meets World are no exception. The show was cancelled in the year 2000, and most of the actors in the main cast have sort of gone off the radar. Where are they now?
Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) took some time off from acting after the show ended and went to school at Stanford University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. He even joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity while he was there. In 2003, he did an internship for the US Senator Arleen Specter, so good for him. As far as acting goes he's done some work on independent films and has made cameo appearances in shows like Chuck and Without a Trace.
Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter) also went to school at Columbia University (English Major), graduating Magna Cum Laude. For a while he had a poetry website where he would share poems he wrote. He starred in the movie Cabin Fever and is also involved in independent films. He wrote and directed a movie called Irish Twins as well.
Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) has been doing steady acting work. He hasn't landed any great parts or anything but he's been in movies like National Lampoon's Gold Diggers and Kindom Hearts. Most of his work has been giving voice to animated characters from such movies as Lilo & Stitch and Chicken Little.
Finally Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence) has also had some acting work come her way. She's been in some not so great movies and has done some independent films. She became a spokeswoman for the Nutrisystem program after losing quite a bit of weight using it. She now hosts a celebrity gossip type TV show called The Dish.
We wish them all the best and hope that they continue to bring great characters our way.
