Boy Meets World cast-the growing up years

The Boy Meets World series was one of the most popular and long running American comedy sitcom. It debuted on September 24th 1993 and was aired regularly by ABC till May 5 2000. During the course of its run it won quite a few notable awards and was also nominated for some. There were also awards for the leading characters. The Boy Meets World was indeed a milestone achievement for the television entertainment business. Apart from the storyline that revolved round the lead character of Cory, played to perfection by Ben Savage, it was the cast that lend credibility to the success of this series.

The main characters were played to perfection by Ben Savage (Cory), Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Rider Strong (Shawn), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Will Friedle (Eric), William Russ (Cory's dad) and Betsy Randle (Cory's mom) respectively. It was however the part of Cory Matthews played by Ben savage which was the central character of Boy Meets World.

Actually this sitcom that was aired by ABC was targeted at an audience who were at their pre or early teens. The series lasted for almost seven years from 1993 to 2000. The serial was worth watching as other people in Cory's life tried to understand his viewpoint about life and relationships. Take the case of Topanga, played by Danielle Fishel, as Cory's love interest. She tries to come to terms with Cory's outlook towards love and how he planned to start a life with her. Their relationship had the lows and highs till when they decide to get married at a young age. Whatever was portrayed through their relationship could happen to anybody when it comes to relationship.

Then there is Shawn, Cory's best friend played by Rider Strong who after staying briefly with Mr. Turner, their English teacher, decides to come back home and live with his estranged dad. In fact Cory is shown to play a deciding role in uniting the father and son. Shawn's mother was not in the family to witness the reunion because she had deserted them sometime back. However Cory hoped that someday she would come and join the family. These were really touchy but such emotions were downplayed by generous doses of humour.
